I really really need some help. I need to buy complete black school shoes for school. I'm really tall so I don't need anything with a heel, then again the shoes need to match with white ankle socks. It would really help if I made good impression at school so nothing too nerdy. I'm not allowed to have a ballet pumps. It's allot to ask I know. But I REALLY REALLY need help! Thanks, much appreciated

Voting Question: how to know if i have an ingrown toenail or just a bruise?

i've been doing pointe work now for about 10 months, and just a couple of months ago, when i was doing character work, my left big toe started to really hurt. i couldn't even keep my socks on and it hurt when i was just sitting still. the pain went away, but over the last week or so, the pain has come back. i don't think it is serious eneough to go to the doctors. i never really noticed it when i was walking around town, but it was quite sore when i took my shoes off (they are dolly shoes which are not that tight). i have done a lot of walking over the past few days, but i've had it longer than that so that's not the cause. it is sore when i touch it or if i just slightly bump into something. i've looked it up, and i don't think it matches really with the description. the toenail isn't cut poorly, so i was just wondering whether it was my pointe shoes which caused it, and whether it is really a ingrown toenail or just a bit of bruising. there is no obvious signs.

Resolved Question: Should I or should I not? He still has pics of his ex?

I've been dating my boyfriend for almost a year. We're doing alright after a few situations which helped bring us closer as we got through them. He broke up with his ex last year and we met about a month and a half after they broke up which was kind of weird. I figured I was going to just be a summer fling and he and his ex would eventually get back together. He assured me they were NOT going to get back together since she was no good for him (she abused prescription meds, smoked a lot of weed, was bitchy/controlling, etc.). A couple of months back or even more, I was in his bedroom talking to my friend on the phone and his friend was over at the time and he came into the room to ask for a pair of socks from my boyfriend's closet. I didn't know where his socks were stored since he has several drawers in his closet with clothes and underwear. His friend yelled down to him where his socks were located. My boyfriend yelled back explaining where they were. While trying to concentrate talking on the phone to my friend AND listen to where the socks were located, I just started opening ALL the drawers looking for socks. While opening one drawer, I found pictures of my boyfriend with his ex girlfriend. I eventually found the socks finally. Ever since that day, the fact that there are pictures of them in his drawer still is kind of bugging me. I never brought it to his attention since I probably thought he just forgot about them and didn't remember to throw them away. As the months went on, I would check to see if he would remember them and throw them out but to this day, they're still there. I even checked recently to see if they were gone again, but this time there's a folder on top of the pictures. So I'm sure he saw the pictures when he opened the drawer so he could have thrown them out then. So I've been thinking of taking matters into my own hands and grabbing them and getting rid of them myself. He knows that I don't like his ex, and he finally told me about how shitty their relationship was since I thought they had something awesome going on and I felt pressured to match that awesome-ness and go beyond and be better than what he had before. We never talked about it because he hated talking about her and the relationship since it had such a negative impact on him. Should I just leave them there or should I get rid of them and see if he notices? I hate to sound childish and insecure but it's just irking me. And it would be awkward to just suddenly bring it up even though I discovered them more than several months ago.

Resolved Question: Why did players used to have higher batting averages and fewer home runs?

Many remember that Ted Williams hit .406 for the 1941 season with the Red Sox. But the truth is that Teddy Ballgame's high season's average wasn't even in the Top 10 all-time. The accomplishment was that Williams was the MOST RECENT player to hit over .400. The man with the highest season's batting average was actually Tip O'Neill, who hit an astonishing .485 for the St. Louis Browns in 1887 (today's St. Louis Cardinals). That same year Pete Browning hit .457 for the Louisville Colonels and Bob Caruthers hit .456 for St. Louis. These men all played in the American Association at the time. The highest season batting average for the National League was Hugh Duffy with .440 on the Boston Beaneaters (today's Atlanta Braves) in 1894. In the 20th Century, several players had higher averages than Ted Williams, and all of them did so in the first quarter of the century: Nap Lajoie (.426 in 1901 for the Philadelphia Athletics, which is also the American League record), Rogers Hornsby (.424 in 1924 for St. Louis), George Sisler (.420 in 1922 and .407 in 1920 for St. Louis), Ty Cobb (.420 in 1911 and .409 in 1912 for the Tigers), and Joe Jackson (.408 in 1911 for Cleveland). Yet, despite these men having such great batting averages, they didn't hit that many home runs. When Tip O'Neil hit the record .485 in 1887, he only hit 14 home runs (hardly that amazing by modern standards). Pete Browning's .457 was matched by only 4 homers and Bob Caruthers' most home runs in a season was 16 in 1889. Today batters have no problem blasting home runs. But, conversely, their averages are rarely anywhere near .400. When Barry Bonds hit 73 homers in 2001 his average was only .328 and his highest average ever was .362 in 2004. The closest player to come close to .400 was Tony Gwynn, who hit .394 in 1994 (though apparently there's a question as to whether or not this should count because the season was shortened by the strike). Before Gwynn, George Brett had the highest average since Williams with .390 for the Royals in 1980. So why can today's players hit so many more home runs but not be able to approach the .400 mark? What made baseball back then so different? Was it the pitching? Was it the parks? Was it the hitting style? What has altered the game so drastically? * NOTE: Ted Williams hit 37 home runs in 1941, and a career high 43 home runs in 1949. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/hitting/hibavg2.shtml http://www.baseball-almanac.com/players/player.php?p=oneiti01 http://www.baseball-almanac.com/players/player.php?p=bondsba01 http://www.baseball-almanac.com/players/player.php?p=willite01 http://www.baseball-almanac.com/players/player.php?p=gwynnto01

Resolved Question: how much do you think he is worth right now? and in the future?

so i have a 3 yr old buckskin paint pony gelding. i have had him for over a year now and put a lot of time and training into him. i dont really have pictures of me riding him bc there is not usually anyone around to take them. for his age he is ddoing amazing and with his coloring he is one good looking boy. he is 13.1 and might grow another inch or 2 still. he has 4 matching socks, a white spot on the side of his face, and one little strip of white on his hind end that touches his tail and makes his tail black and white. he is learning dressage very well. he has learned how to bring his head down into a nice frame. he is bending pretty well. very comfortable to ride. extremely safe on trails. ive ridden him 3 miles bareback to the water, took him swimming in the water, and rode 3 miles back again. he was perfectly safe and was first in the water. he went to a jumper show and did 12-18" and won champion. that was his first show ever and he didnt even get to school or see the jumps. (that was before i knew his age) he trailers great, stands and bathes, shots and ferrier great. LOVES kids. is very social. does pony rides. he is still green obviously, but that only means some things are scary or new things are hard. he has never bucked and a believe he doesnt know how lol. he is sensitive and very forward (with a saddle) bareback he is slow and easy. i think he would be a great event pony. check out all his pictures and tell me how much you think he is worth please! NOT PLANNING ON SELLING HIM! i love him to much. but maybe in a few years when he has finished training and growing up. need more info let me know and i will post it. http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/album.php?aid=961&id=100001106082418&ref=mf well.. to shannon. who obviously know nothing about horses... he went to one show. before i knew how old he was. i was told he was 5 at purchase. he went to the show and went over poles on the ground. if he can do that at his age its a great sign. most people start showing horses at that age. its called green classes for a reason. catch up. and when i found out his actual age.. i didnt take him to another one. AND you start beaking a horse at age of 2. thats how it works. i dont even ride him much... and I ALSO of am a low enough weight to where i wont hurt him. learn a little about horses. if you dont want to answer the question i asked dont write anything. p.s. you can see the albu if your on facebook. if not you might not be able to. grow up shannon betsy gume,, he came to me already broken. it was not my decision for him to be broke so early. wheni found out how old he was i stopped riding him really at all. and wheni do its for ten mins at the most. i have also stopped jumping him since i found out. im not dumb, ive been around horses my entire life. you arent answering my question and i did not ask for you to tell me not to ride him. i now how to treat my horse nicely.
